My name is Kevin Li (李文亮, publish as Li K. Wenliang), I recently defended by PhD at Gatsby Computational Neurosicence Unit, University College London.
I was supervised by Maneesh Sahani and
I did my undergraduate and M.Eng. at University of Cambridge, supervised by Máté Lengyel for master's project.
My research focus on both machine learning and theoretical neuroscience. I hope to explore unsupervised and reinforcement learning algorithms, combining approximate infernece, kernel methods and inspiration from biological intelligence. Algorithms can then motivate theories about how the brain perceives the world and represents uncertainties, thereby explaininig perceptual phenomena under an adaptive internal model of the world. The ultimate goal is to understand principles of learning in artificial and biological agents.
